Yogi Govt To Provide 100 Motorized Tricycles To Divyang's In Every Lok Sabha Constituency In Next Two Years
Lucknow, May 2 (TNA) The Yogi government, which has become a huge support of Divyangjan, will further make their daily lives by giving motorized tricycles to 100 Divyangjans of each Lok Sabha constituency in the next two years. Under the Motorized Tricycle Scheme launched in the financial year 2021-22, more than 1500 tricycles have been approved, an official said on Monday.
The state government, which has already increased the subsidy to Divyangjans on buying of artificial limbs, is also going to increase the grant per beneficiary to Rs 15000 (proposed) in the next two years. Apart from this, foster and pension scheme is also proposed for the welfare of Divyangjan.
The Yogi government has already given a big relief to the Divyangjans by increasing the grant received under the Divyangjan Maintenance Grant Scheme by more than three times. Before March 2017, the grant amount was only Rs 300. The government has increased it to Rs 500 first and in December 2021 again it has been increased to 1000. As a result of this, the number of beneficiaries which was 8,75,992 in 2016-17 has increased to 11,26,670 in 2021-22.
The Yogi government also increased the grant of artificial limbs and assistive devices scheme drastically from 800 to 10,000 in February 2019. In the year 2029, the total beneficiaries were 27,887 which increased to 42,184 in 2021-22. The total number of beneficiaries in the last 5 years was 2,56,165. It is proposed to increase the grant per beneficiary to Rs.15,000 in the next 2 years.
