11 Cops In Mirzapur Suspended For Negligence In Murder Probe

Mirzapur, June 25 (TNA) The district police chief of Mirzapur has suspended 11 policemen for negligence in a murder case. Mukesh Mishra, a resident of Pura of Katwaru, was killed six months ago. A case was registered against Akash, Vimlesh and Mani in the case.

On Friday, the SP suspended 11 policemen, including outpost in-charge Dunkinganj, for negligence in the murder case of Mukesh Mishra on June 20 in Durga Bazar locality of Mirzapur Katra Kotwali. But, only one accused was caught so far. On receiving constant threats from the accused, Mukesh's sister Vandana Mishra complained several times on the Chief Minister's portal apart from the SP.

But, the police did not take action. Outpost in-charge Dunkinganj Sanjay Kumar, former outpost in-charge Harikesh Ram Azad, Katra Kotwali head constable Ramashray Rao, Om Prakash Yadav, Vinod Gautam, Piyush Kant Yadav, Dinanath Yadav, Shaukat Ali, constable Dheeraj Mishra, Inderjit Sonkar and others on negligence in the matter Ankit Kumar has been suspended. On Thursday, the investigator SI Arjun Singh was also suspended.
