151 New GPS, Public Address System Equipped Garbage Collection Vehicles Flagged Off In Lucknow

LUCKNOW || Taking another step forward towards better garbage collection and disposal, the Lucknow Nagar Nigam (LNN) on Wednesday added 151 new vehicles for the purpose to its existing fleet. These garbage collection vehicles are equipped with GPS and public address system.

Urban Development minister Ashutosh Tandon 'Gopalji' and city Mayor Sanyukta Bhatia jointly flagged off these new vehicles. These vehicles will be doing rounds of all the eight zones in the municipal limits of the city for door-to-door garbage collection.

City's past experience on this front has not been so good however. Citizens say they hope this time round the efforts will yield results and not remain just on paper and done for photo ops.
