200-Kg Silver Looted From Courier Company Vehicle In Agra

Agra, January 20 (TNA) Despite beefed up security ahead of assembly polls, four armed bandits robbed 200 kg silver from a courier company vehicle Wednesday afternoon in Agra. Police said Akash Parmar manager of a courier company was headed for Rajasthan in Swift Dezire, with the silver consignment.

Around noon, four bandits in a white Honda City overtook and stopped the courier company car near Dwarika Radhey colony close to Rohta under the Sadar police station.

They threatened Akash with arms and then the four transferred the silver, estimated to be 200 kg, to their car.

After they fled, Akash raised an alarm and contacted the police control room. Soon senior police officials including the ADG Rajiv Krishna, SSP Sudhir Kumar reached the spot. A massive hunt is on. Several teams have been put on the job.
