204 Live Turtles Recovered In Prayagraj, Two Smugglers Nabbed

Prayagraj, February 19 (TNA) Two smugglers hailing from Sultanpur were caught by the police at Chhivki station on Sunday with 204 live turtles have been recovered from them. Their price is said to be around Rs 33 lakh. GRP has recovered 204 live tortoises at the Chhivki railway station in the Naini area. While smuggling the turtles from Sultanpur to Kolkata, they were caught by GRP in Chhivki.

The two smugglers were identified as Sandeep Kumar and Kusum. It is being said that this business has been going on for a long time. The arrested accused said that they were catching turtles from Ganga and taking them to Kolkata.
