33 IIT-Kanpur Students Get Package Of More Than One Crore On The First Day Of Placement Drive

Kanpur, Dec 4 (TNA) On the very first day of the campus placement drive, a student has been offered an international package of Rs 4 crores by Jane Street, a New York based company. International packages have doubled in the last four years. In 2018, the international package was Rs 1.9 crores.

In the last four years, the domestic package has increased from Rs 82 lakhs to Rs 1.9 crores. Last year, a total of 47 students got a package above rupees one crore, while this time on the very first day 33 students got a package above Rs one crore. 273 students of the institute have got jobs in pre-placement itself. 332 students have been given internship of Rs 13 lakh per month.

This year 72 students have got job offers from international companies. Last year 47 students got international offers. This time companies including Capital One, SAP Labs, Rakuten Mobile, Enphase, Boston Consulting Group, Bain & Company, McKinsey & Company, have come to the institute, director of IIT-Kanpur Prof Abhay Karandikar informed.
