35-Year-Old Journalist Amongst Those Killed In Lakhimpur Violence
Lakhimpur Kheri, Oct 4 (TNA) In the clashes that erupted in Lakhimpur Kheri district of Uttar Pradesh on Sunday, a journalist of a television channel has also been killed. According to information available, Raman Kashyap, who as associated with the Sadhna News Channel as a stringer was caught in the violence and was killed.
The 35-year-old was one of the eight persons who lost their lives in the violence. Ram Dulare, father of the deceased scribe identified his body at the post-mortem house on Monday.
Journalist groups while condemning the act as a “reprehensible development” have demanded that the matter be investigated by a retired judge of the High Court or Supreme Court and that stringent action be taken against the people behind the violence, which also claimed one of the journalists.
