40 Bogies Of Goods Train Derails In Etawah, One Kid Grazing Cattle Nearby The Tracks Killed

Etawah, Sep 20 (TNA) Several bogies of a goods train derailed in Etawah district of Uttar Pradesh on Monday evening, leaving one dead. According to information available, the wagon train derailed on the Dedicated Freight Corridor while it was going to Bhaupur.

When almost 40 bogies overturned some children were grazing cattle near the track and four of them got buried under the bogies. They were pulled out but one of them died, according to reports.

The accident was so severe that some bogies of the train climbed on each other and some overturned below the rail track. An Accident Relief Train (ART) has been sent from Tundla Junction in Firozabad to the spot as soon as the information about the accident was received. Rescue work is being done on the spot.

The accident happened at 5 pm near Phulpur village between New Bhadan and Ekdil railway station in Etawah district. According to the information, it was the BSCS goods train that was going to Bhaupur that derailed. These bogies were filled with limestone.
