55-Year-Old Woman Gang-Raped In Noida, Mayawati Seeks Prompt Action
Noida, Oct 11 (TNA) A case of gang-rape has come to light with a 55-year-old woman who went to the field to cut fodder in Greater Noida. In the forest area of Jewar, four people took the woman hostage and gang-raped her.
The woman later reached her home and told her ordeal to the family members. After this the police were informed and the cops have now launched a manhunt for the accused. BSP supremo Mayawati has demanded the state government to take the strictest action against the accused.
DCP woman Vrinda Shukla said that a complaint has been received about a gang rape incident under the police station Jewar, on which a case has been registered immediately. The incident happened on Sunday morning around 9 to 10 am.
Vrinda Shukla further said that the main accused, who is from the victim's own village, used to graze his animals there and also used to smoke weed. A team has been constituted for his arrest.
