57 IAS Trainee Officers Conduct Study Tour Lucknow Metro, Understand Functions
Lucknow, February 1 (TNA) To understand the functioning of Lucknow Metro, 57 IAS trainee officers, who were on a study tour from Lal Bahadur Shastri Academy, Mussoorie, visited the Transport Nagar Depot of Lucknow Metro. Starting with an overview of the management and operational system of the Lucknow Metro Rolling Stock Workshop, the tour of the IAS Trainee Officers proceeded to the Operation Control Center and the COET Center set up for training. UPMRC Managing Director Sushil Kumar welcomed the trainee officers.
The General Manager of the Operations Department, Swadesh Singh informed the team members about the functioning of the Metro. The probationer IAS officers were apprised about the centralized functioning of the Operational Control Centre, (OCC) of Lucknow Metro from where real-time control and management of all trains is done.
Trainee IAS officers experienced real train driving in the cockpit of a 5D simulator of a metro train. The 5D simulator developed at the metro depot is used for training train operators before sending them to the main line. The officials took a keen interest in the Lucknow, Kanpur and Agra Metro projects and their progress. He was also apprised of the administrative work and approval stages for the metro project.
