712 Ticketless Passengers Nabbed, Fined At Prayagraj Junction
Prayagraj, July 14 (TNA) Despite serious and sustained efforts, ticketless travel continues to be a big headache for the North Central Railways (NCR). Once again a raid campaign was conducted on behalf of the Railways at Prayagraj Junction on Thursday in which 712 passengers travelling without tickets were nabbed and fined.
Senior Divisional Commercial Manager (DCM) Shashibhushan and Himanshu Shukla, lead the ticket checking drive. In this, 335 passengers were caught traveling without tickets and 377 passengers traveling irregularly with tickets and Rs 4,92,250 were also recovered as fine. In this entire campaign, a total of 12 trains were checked by a total of 24 checking staff, 7 Railway Protection Force personnel and 5 GRP staff.
