82nd Foundation Day Of CSIR Celebrated At CIMAP
Lucknow, Sep 30 (TNA) The CSIR-Central Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants (CIMAP) on Friday celebrated the 82nd Foundation Day of CSIR, New Delhi, along with the closing ceremony of ‘Hindi Pakhwada’ at the Golden Jubilee Auditorium. Dr. Bhaskar Narayan, Director, CSIR-Indian Institute of Toxicology Research (CSIR-IITR), Lucknow, was the chief guest on this occasion.
Dr. Prabodh Kumar Trivedi, Director, CSIR-CIMAP, Chief Guest and the dignitaries lighted the lamp during this occasion. Director, CSIR-CIMAP welcomed the chief guest and presented the highlights of the progress made by the Institutes during last year.
On this occasion, the Chief guest addressed the scientist and research scholars of the institute. He stressed that the interest of institute needs to be taken into priority by the individuals for the progress of the state and the nation. He also called upon the scientist to work in collaboration with the researchers of other organization.
Scientists and their teams who had published high-impact research papers division wise were felicitated, along with employees of administration. Also, employees who have rendered more than 25 years of service to the institute and those who superannuated during last year were honoured with mementos. Various competitions were organized in the institute, in which scientists, researchers, and children of the institute employees participated. The winners of the events were also awarded by the dignitaries.
Institute's annual report (2022–23), Hindi science magazine 'Aus Vigyan', and Marigold production technical bulletin were also released today. These publications highlight the institute's achievement during the last year. The program was coordinated by Dr. Akanksha Singh. The function concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Sanjay Kumar. On this occasion, faculty members of scientific, research, and educational institutions, invited dignitaries, special guests, and all the staff members and researchers of CSIR-CIMAP were present.
