87 Projects Worth Rs 340.59 Crore Approved For Mahakumbh Mela

Lucknow, May 23 (TNA) The Uttar Pradesh government has approved many projectsfor the Mahakumbh mela to be held in Prayagraj in 2025. These include Rs 66.26 crore for the UP Power Corporation Limited, Rs 156.02 crore for the PWD for 37 projects, 3 projects worth Rs 15.07 crore of Jal Nigam, 12 projects costing Rs 56.05 crore of Moti Lal Nehru Medical College, 18 projects of the Health Department at a cost of Rs 38.79 crore and Municipal Corporation Prayagraj's one project worth Rs 4.53 crore and Transport Corporation's 6 projects worth Rs 3.87 crore.

The third meeting of the apex committee of Prayagraj Mahakumbh Mela-2025 was held here on Monday under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Durga Shankar Mishra. In which 87 projects of various departments have been approved for Kumbh Mela. The total cost of these projects is Rs 340.59 crore. Apart from this, the progress of the projects approved in the first and second meeting of the committee was also reviewed in the meeting.

The Chief Secretary has given instructions to ensure the work of all the approved projects with standard and quality before Mahakumbh and also to make logo and theme for the fair.

Principal Secretary Medical Education Alok Kumar, Principal Secretary Medical Health and Family Welfare Partha Sarathi Sen Sharma, Principal Secretary Urban Development Amrit Abhijat, Secretary Urban Development Ranjan Kumar, Director General School Education and Mela Adhikari Kumbh Vijay Kiran Anand besides Divisional Commissioner from Prayagraj, DM and other officers joined the meeting through video conferencing
