94.3 BIG FM Rolls Out 'Ulta Chata' Initiative To Sensitise People Towards Rain Water Harvesting
Lucknow, July 27 (TNA) At a time when water scarcity is becoming a global problem, people and institutions are trying in their own ways to create awareness about the issue and prodding people to conserve our water resources.
One such bid, under its CSR activities, has been rolled out by popular 94.3 BIG FM under an activity named "Ulta Chhata" (inverted umbrella) in its morning show with RJ Puneet. The initiative is being supported by Water Aid India.
Groundwater water is getting down as most of the rainwater is going to drain or directly go to the river and after then it goes to sea.
So, the solution of this problem is RWA -Rain Water Harvesting, It will help to increase groundwater levels. Rainwater is collected from a roof-like surface and redirected to a tank, cistern, deep pit, aquifer, or reservoir with percolation so that it seeps down and restores the groundwater.
The management said it was keeping in mind all these aspects that they came up with the idea of asking listeners to "open their Ulta Chhata and save rainwater," which means embracing water harvesting and support this cause.
