AAP Leader Sanjay Singh To Be Presented In Sultanpur MP-MLA Court Today

Sultanpur, February 7 (TNA) Jailed Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) lawmaker Sanjay Singh will be presented in the special court of MP-MLA in Sultanpur on Wednesday. Singh is accused of an alleged liquor scam and is currently detained in Delhi's Tihar Jail. Police will present AAP leader Sanjay Singh in the court on Wednesday amidst tight security arrangements.

His statement will be recorded in the ‘dera dalo-dera dalo’ case pending in the special court of MP-MLA. On October 23, 2008, SP organized a cordon-camping program in Tikonia Park of the city against the then BSP government. It is alleged that the SPs had demonstrated fiercely on the road in front of the Collectorate. Police had registered a case against many SPs including former SP MLA Anoop Sanda, present Aam Aadmi Party MP Sanjay Singh, MLC Shailendra Pratap Singh, Gauriganj SP MLA Rakesh Singh, SP District President Raghuveer Yadav.

MP-MLA Special Court Magistrate Yogesh Kumar Yadav had recently summoned MP Sanjay Singh from jail to record his statement. He is currently detained in Tihar Central Jail 2 in connection with the liquor scam in Delhi. Defence advocate Rudra Pratap Madan Singh said that on Wednesday morning, the police will bring MP Sanjay Singh by Sadbhavna Express train and present him in the court.
