Akhilesh, Mayawati Invited To Join Congress’s UP Leg Of ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’

Lucknow, December 27 (TNA) In what is being seen as a bod to forge opposition unity, the Congress has extended an invitation to Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav and Bahujan Samaj party (BSP) supremo Mayawati to join the UP leg of its ongoing ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’, undertaken by Rahul Gandhi.

The Yatra will enter UP on January 3. Invites have also been sent to former minister Shivpal Singh Yadav, Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) president Jayant Chaudhary, SBSP president Om Prakash Rajbhar, CPI national secretary Atul Anjan and BSP's Satish Chandra Mishra, party spokesperson Krishnakant Pandey informed.
