Lucknow, April 14 (TNA) Former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav has called the encounter of Asad, son of former MP and gangster Atique Ahmed as “fake”. Addressing reporters in Borawan in Khargone district in Madhya Pradesh on Thursday, where he offered floral tributes to the statue of former Deputy Chief Minister late Subhash Yadav, the Samajwadi Party (SP) chief said that this was not an isolated case.

“Many times in the past too the finger of suspicion has been pointed at the UP government regarding fake encounters” he said while referring also to the Vikas Dubey incident who was killed in Kanpur while being brought back from Madhya Pradesh.

“The killing of seven policemen in Bikru by Vikas Dubey was also a failure of the state government and the subsequent developments as well” he alleged.

“ Recently a hut was demolished with a bulldozer in Kanpur, it caught fire, mother and daughter got burnt…they also killed Pushpendra Yadav in a fake encounter. One died in police custody in Kanpur. BJP workers in Ballia killed a budding youth leader” he said while charging that the alw and order had completely collapsed under the watch of Yogi Adityanath Government.
