All Vehicles Challans Pending In UP Courts Between 2017-2021 Terminated, New Changes In e-challan Portal Soon
Lucknow, October 18 (TNA) Realising the mounting technical hurdles in disposal of challans pending in courts, changes will have to be made in e-challan portal. The state government has announced the abolition of all vehicle challans pending in courts from 2017 to 2021. Information regarding disposal of challans from the courts is being sent to the ARTO and RTO offices of the Transport Department at the district level.
There has been a technical hurdle in the disposal of e-challans of vehicles pending in various courts of the state. Now changes will be made in the NIC portal to remove the technical hurdles, an official said.
On behalf of the Transport Department, a letter has been written to NIC to clear the challans pending on the e-transport portal. But it has come to light that there is a technical hurdle in clearing the challan in the e-challan portal. The portal is not accepting settlement of challans. In such a situation, the exercise to amend the portal has now been started.
The challans will be considered actually settled only after the changes are made in the portal. Recently, in the meeting of the officials of Transport Department, Justice Department and NIC, the solution to this problem was also discussed. Even after the government's decision to abolish the challan, vehicle owners are facing many problems due to the challan being displayed on the portal.
