Allahabad HC Denies Relief To Seven Former Senior SSB, RAW Officers In Housing Society Scam
Prayagraj, Sep 2 (TNA) The Allahabad High Court has refused to grant immediate relief to seven former senior officials of RAW and SSB, accused of being involved in the Ghaziabad Buyer Protection Government Housing Society scam.
This orderwas given by a division bench of Justice Sunit Kumar and Justice Syed Vaiz Mian. These officers have filed a petition seeking cancellation of FIR registered at Vijaynagar police station in Ghaziabad and a stay on their arrest.
Demanding interim relief from the authorities, there has been a demand for a stay on the arrest. The court, while refusing to order a stay on the arrest of the officers in this case, has sought a response from the state government on the petition in two weeks.
Against these officers, former SSB officer RS Chauhan has filed a case under sections 420, 467, 468, 471, 120B of IPC. It is alleged that all the former senior officers were involved in the managing committee of the society and they cheated the builders.
The society was formed to provide government accommodation to the employees of SSB and RAW. For this, there is an allegation of scam in the land acquired by the government in connivance with the builder.
