Allahabad HC Judge Seeks Reply From Railways For Inconvenience During Train Journey From New Delhi To Prayagraj

Prayagraj, July 19 (TNA) A judge of the Allahabad High Court (HC) has sought response from the Railways with regards to the inconvenience caused to him during a recent train journey from New Delhi to Prayagraj. In a letter sent by Registrar Protocol Ashish Srivastava to the General Manager, North Central Railway (NCR), he has said that the train was late by more than three hours and despite repeated appeals to the TTE, no GRP personnel or pantry car attendant was able to provide refreshments.

Justice Gautam Chowdhary of the Allahabad High Court has sought an explanation from the errant officials, GRP personnel and the pantry car manager for the inconvenience caused during the train journey from New Delhi to Prayagraj on July 8. Justice Gautam Chaudhary was traveling with his wife from New Delhi to Prayagraj by train.

The letter further states that the judge has desired that an explanation may be sought from the erring officials of Railways, GRP, Pantry Car for negligence in duty. The clarification should be sent to the High Court so that it can be placed before the judge for perusal.

According to a letter dated July 14 to the GM of Railways, Justice Chowdhary recently had an unpleasant experience while traveling in a first class AC coach of the Purushottam Express from New Delhi to Prayagraj.
