Allahabad HC Orders Status Quo Till October 5 On Radhasoami Satsang Sabha Land Disupte In Agra
Prayagraj, Sep 27 (TNA) The Allahabad High Court (HC) on Wednesday heard the matter pertaining to the Radhasoami Satsang Sabha land dispute in Agra and ordered a status quo till October 5. On September 23, in Dayalbagh area of Agra district of Uttar Pradesh, the police and administration launched a campaign to remove encroachment in the case of encroachment on government land.
This remove encroachment campaign was conducted on the land occupied by Radha Soami Satsang Sabha during which the administration demolished the gate of Radha Soami Satsang Sabha. As soon as the administration team left, the satsangis together re-erected the gate.
After this, the police and administration team once again arrived on Sunday to remove the illegal encroachment. During which the police came face to face with the satsangis.
In such a situation, administrative officials came forward to calm the atmosphere and tried to convince the satsangis. During this, the satsangis pelted stones at the police force, after which a huge commotion broke out on the spot and then the police lathicharged the uncontrollable crowd.
At present, many people and policemen were injured in the lathicharge. Radha Swami Satsang Sabha filed a petition in Allahabad High Court on Monday. Taking cognizance of this, the High Court gave temporary relief to Radha Soami Satsang Sabha and issued a stay order banning the administration's removal of encroachments campaign for two days.
