Allahabad HC Stays Proceedings Against RLD Chief Jayant Chowdhary In Case Of Violation of Covid Rules
Prayagraj, January 8 (TNA) In big relief to Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD)chief Jayant Chaudhary, the Allahabad High Court on Monday put a stay in a case wherein he had been accused of violation of conduct of rules and regulations during the Covid pandemic.
The case had been registered in Dadri police station of Noida. Allahabad High Court put a stay on police charge sheet, cognizance order and criminal proceedings. The High Court also issued a notice to the state government and sought its reply.
In February 2022, a case was registered against Jayant Chaudhary and Akhilesh Yadav and others. There was an allegation against the elader duo of taking out a procession with a huge crowd without permission.
Senior advocates Imran Ullah, Vineet Vikram and Dharamvir Singh had presented Jayant Chaudhary's side in the court.
