Allahabad HC Turns Down Anticipatory Bail Plea Of Mukhtar Ansari’s Son Omar

Prayagraj, December 19 (TNA) The Allahabad High Court (HC) on Tuesday turned down the bail plea application of Omar Ansari. The son of mafia-turned-politician Mukhtar Ansari had moved an anticipatory bail plea in the case of delivering an inflammatory speech.

A case was registered against him in Mau during the state assembly elections where in he had openly threatened bureaucrats and police officials saying he will settle scores with them once the Samajwadi Party (SP) is elected to power. Omar Ansari however has pleaded claiming himself innocent.
