Allahabad High Court Seeks Criminal History Of Ex-UP Minister Amarmani Tripathi In Three Days
Prayagraj, March 15 (TNA) The Allahabad High Court (HC) has directed to present the criminal history of former minister Amarmani Tripathi. On the instructions of the court, the order sheet from 17 December 22 to 29 February 24 has been presented in a sealed envelope by the trial court. The court opened the envelope in front of both the parties today.
Earlier, criminal history of twenty cases was revealed against the petitioner Amarmani Tripathi, on which the court has directed both the parties to present the criminal history of the petitioner within three days. The next hearing of Amarmani's petition will be on March 20. Justice Sanjay Kumar Singh has given this order while hearing the petition of Amarmani Tripathi.
In the last hearing, the High Court had summoned the order sheet of Amarmani Tripathi's case till March 14. The High Court had directed Additional District and Sessions Judge Basti to send a photocopy of the order sheet, after which the order sheet was presented in a sealed envelope.
Allahabad High Court had directed Basti Special Court MP/MLA to send the photocopy of the order sheet of Amarmani Tripathi's case in a sealed envelope by March 14. According to the petition, the Special Court has issued a non-bailable warrant against Amarmani Tripathi in the case registered in 2002 on kidnapping charges.
This order of the Special Court has been challenged in the petition. The petitioner says that he is on bail in the original kidnapping case. Based on the original case, the Special Court has wrongly issued NBW in the case of Gangster Act. In this case, the petitioner was earlier undergoing trial along with other accused.
Later the petitioner's case was separated. The complete order sheet was not available after the case was separated. On this, the court had directed to send a photocopy of the complete order sheet through messenger. Not only this, the High Court had given a shock to the former minister by refusing to stay the Basti Sessions Court's order to confiscate his property.
Amarmani Tripathi has not been able to get any relief from the Allahabad High Court in the matter of the order of the Sessions Court of Basti District to confiscate the properties. In the last hearing, the High Court had not put any stay on the order of the Basti Sessions Court.
The case is related to the kidnapping of a businessman's son. On December 6, 2001, Rahul, son of Basti businessman Dharamraj Madheshiya, was kidnapped. Police had recovered the businessman's son from Amarmani Tripathi's house in Lucknow. Nine people including Amarmani were made accused in this case. Even after being released from jail, Tripathi did not appear in the court in this case.
The Special MP/MLA Court of Basti has declared Amarmani Tripathi absconding and has ordered the DGP of UP and Principal Secretary Home to attach his properties as soon as possible. The session court of Basti has also expressed displeasure over the non-implementation of the order to confiscate the properties. Amarmani Tripathi has filed a petition in the High Court against the order of the Special Court of Basti.

On this, the High Court had asked the Special Court of Basti to present the records of the order sheet in a sealed envelope. This matter was heard today in Allahabad High Court. In the last hearing, the court had not accepted Amarmani Tripathi's demand to stay the order of the special court.
