Allahabad High Court Seeks Reply From UP Govt On Reform And Transfer Policy Of Jails
Prayagraj, Nov 19 (TNA) The Allahabad High Court has sought response from the state government within two weeks on the PIL filed regarding jail reforms and transfer of class III and IV employees. The court has said that the government should also tell whether the transfer policy has been implemented correctly or not.
The order was given by a bench of Justice Manoj Mishra and Justice Vikas Budhwar this week while hearing a public interest litigation PIL). In the petition, there has been a demand for the corruption prevailing in the jails of the state and its reformation, and hence the transfer should not be done with the prisoners lodged in the jails for a long time.
Advocates Sharadendu Saurabh and Jaishankar Mishra argued the petition. It was said on behalf of the state government that there is a transfer policy in jails. Time should be given to file reply. On which the court has directed the government to file a reply in two weeks.
