Prayagraj, July 9 (TNA) In view of the problems faced by the lawyers due to virtual hearing and their agitation regarding it, the Allahabad High Court has decided to hear the cases in open court from July 14. This information was given by Prabha Shankar Mishra, General Secretary of the High Court Bar Association.

Mishra told that the lawyers have been agitating since the beginning demanding for hearing in the open court. They had pointed out that due to poor connectivity, lack of proper link to virtual hearings, lawyers not being

familiar with the system, many problems were arising.

Talks were held with the Chief Justice about these problems recently. He had assured that the problems of the lawyers would be resolved soon. Following this, the High Court administration has decided to hear the matter in open court from July 14.

However, in view of the Corona crisis, the manner in which the hearing system will be implemented is expected to be decided in a day or two and guidelines will be issued. It is worth noting that after the opening of the lockdown, the hearing of cases in the Allahabad High Court started in the online mode and at present the cases are being heard through video conferencing.
