Amitabh Yash Named ADG Law & Order Of UP

Lucknow, February 16 (TNA) The Uttar Pradesh government on Friday named Indian Police Service (IPS) officer Amitabh Yash as the new additional genereal of police (ADG) Law and Order. The 1996-batch IPS officer will continue to hold the charge of the Special Task Force (STF), the unit against organised crime.

Amitabh Yash is a decorated officer, hails from Bihar and has been behind the elimination of many dreaded criminals in the state. So far the incumbent DGP Prashant Kumar was holding the charge of the law and order and the baton has now shifted to Amitabh Yash.
