Anti-Sleep Devices To Be Installed In UP Roadways Buses
Lucknow, November 17 (TNA) Anti-sleep devices will be installed in the buses of Uttar Pradesh State Roadways Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) wherein a buzzer will sound if the driver falls asleep. Through the anti-sleep device, the LED will start blinking for 5 to 8 seconds in night mode and 6 to 9 seconds in day mode.
Now traveling in UP Transport Corporation buses is going to be even safer than before. There have been cases of accidents in UP Roadways buses due to drivers falling asleep. Now technology will be used to prevent such accidents, an official informed.
Currently it is being installed in 10 buses on trial basis. The price of this device is around Rs 14 thousand per unit. Earlier, panic button was installed in the corporation's buses. Minister of State for Transport Dayashankar Singh said that the agency has been selected to install anti-sleep devices in the buses of Uttar Pradesh Transport Corporation. Inceptum Technica Solution Private Limited will do this work. If the experiment is successful, anti-sleep devices will be installed in 680 more buses in the first phase.
Through the anti sleep device, the LED will start blinking for 5 to 8 seconds in night mode and 6 to 9 seconds in day mode. After that the sound of buzzer will start coming. After this the siren will sound. Then the SMS will reach the headquarters. He told that the data will also be stored on the cloud.
