As Requested By Yogi, Railway Ministry Okays Change Of Name Of Ayodhya Railway Station To Ayodhya Dham

Lucknow, December 28 (TNA) The Railway Ministry has changed the name of Ayodhya Junction to Ayodhya Dham Junction. An order for this was issued on Wednesday. Now it will be known as Ayodhya Dham Station. According to information, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had expressed desire to name the station Ayodhya Dham during the inspection two days ago.

This decision has been taken only after this. During his visit to Ayodhya on December 21, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inspected Ayodhya railway station. During this time, he had asked the railway officials to change the name of the station to Ayodhya Dham. Lucknow division's PRO Vikram Singh confirmed this.

Even before this, on the initiative of MP Lallu Singh, Railways had changed the name of Faizabad Junction to Ayodhya Cantt.
