ATS Commando Center To Be Set Up In Deoband
Lucknow, August 17 (TNA) The Yogi Adityanath government in Uttar Pradesh has given a go ahead for setting up of an ATS Commando Center at Deoband, Saharanpur. ATS has been allotted 2000 sqm of land, on which which work will begin soon.
Some 18 fast-paced ATS officers selected from all over the state will be deployed here. This information was given by Shalabh Mani Tripathi, Media Advisor to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
This commando center of Deoband will be able to cover the area up to Deoband, Meerut and Saharanpur. ATS spot team is already deployed in Meerut too, but the number in the team is very low. Also an ATS team stays in Noida all the time. Construction of two ATS Commando Centers at Noida and Deoband will cover the entire area of Western Uttar Pradesh
Preparations are underway to open ATS Commando Training Centers in Lucknow and Noida before Deoband. The centers will be set up near Amausi in Lucknow and International Airport in Noida.
The land has been finalized at both the places. Special commandos of ATS will be formed under the supervision of Army and SPG officers. They will be trained on everything that is used in rescue and relief work during terrorist attacks.
