Azam Khan Appears In Lucknow CBI Court In Jal Nigam Recruitment Scam Case, Next Hearing On June 2
Lucknow, May 12 (TNA) Former UP minister and Samajwadi Party legislator from Rampur, Mohd Azam Khan appeared in a Lucknow court on Thursday in the Jal Nigam Recruitment scam case. The charges could not be framed today and the next date of hearing has been fixed for June 2.
The founding member of the SP is lodged in Sitapur jail since February 27, 2020. Along with him, his wife and son were also inside the prison, but both have since been released on bail. The once powerful UP minister had 87 cases registered against his name of which he has been granted bail in 86 cases.
On Thursday he was produced in the court of Special CBI Judge Manoj Pandey in Lucknow. A copy of the prosecution forms was demanded on behalf of Azam and other accused, due to which the charges could not be framed against the accused. The court has fixed June 2 for the next hearing. Azam Khan was sent back to Sitapur Jail.
