Prayagraj, Nov 11 (TNA) The bail application of Anand Giri - the prime accused in the mysterious death case of Mahant Narendra Giri, was rejected by the court on Thursday. The court had reserved its decision after hearing counsels of both sides.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), which is probing the high-profile case, had vehemently opposed the bail plea moved by Anand Giri. This is the third time that the lower court has dismissed the application for Giri’s bail.

Anand Giri, a clsoe disciple of late Narendra Giri, also accused by the deceased seer in his suicide note of pushing him to take the extreme step, has been in Naini prison since September 22.
