BBD Girl Student In Lucknow Shot Dead After Ganesh Chaturthi Function

Lucknow, Sep 21 (TNA) In a tragic incident, a 23-year-old student of the Babu Banarsi Das (BBD) College died in the state capital after being shot, a police official said on Thursday. The deceased has been identified as Nishtha Tripathi and she was a B.Com Honors student at the BBD College.

It is learnt that after the annual and grand Ganesh Chaturthi program organized at BBD College, the student had gone to Dayal Residency on the request of her friend Aditya Pathak. A liquor party was going on in the house till late night and a liquor bottle was recovered from the kitchen of the house.

During the party, many youth were present in the house till late night. Police has detained Aditya Pathak and other youths and started interrogating them.
