BJP MLA's Brother In UP's Kannauj Jumps To Death From Hospital Room After Testing COVID Positive
KANNAUJ || In a tragic development, brother of a BJP lawmaker in Uttar Pradesh leapt to his death on Friday after he tested Coronavirus positive, police said. According to preliminary information available, the 45-year-old deceased Sanjay Rajput was tested positive for COVID19 in the last week of August.
Subsequently he was taken to the Kannauj medical college for isolation and treatment but he chose to jump off the hospital building and end his life on Friday. He was the younger brother of Kailash Rajput, the BJP legislator from Tirwa in Kannauj. Sanjay's wife and some other family members are also COVID positive.
He had been kept in a private ward of the second floor of the medical college but all of a sudden he got up from his bed and leaped out of the window. He sustained major skull injuries and died on the spot. His legislator brother and senior district officials rushed to the crime scene. The body has been sent for autopsy.
