BJP Names Arun Govil As Candidate From Meerut, Varun Gandhi Dropped

Lucknow, March 24 (TNA) The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) late on Sunday announced 13 more candidates from Uttar Pradesh who will contest the Lok Sabha elections on the party symbol.

The list includes Raghav Lakhanpal from Saharanpur, Sarvesh Singh from Moradabad, famous actor, ‘Ramayan’ television serial fame Arun Govil from Meerut, Atul Garg from Ghaziabad, Satish Gautam from Aligarh and Anoop Valmiki from the reserved seat of Hathras.

The party has fielded Durvijay Singh Shakya from Badaun, Jitin Prasada from Pilibhit and Maneka Gandhi from Sultanpur. The ticket of Varun Feroze Gandhi has been cut this time round.

In Kanpur, the party has fielded Ramesh Awasthi while from Barabanki, Rajrani Rawat has been fielded. Arvind Gond has been named for the reserved Bahraich parliamentary constituency.
