Blinded By Dense Fog, Goods Train Runs Over Two In Etawah

Etawah, January 3 (TNA) Two youngsters were run over by a goods train in Etawah district, which is witnessing dense fog since Monday morning. Both friends were crossing the tracks when the train hit them. Another person has been injured critically and has been admitetd to a medical facility, an official informed.

The mishap took place on the Dedicated Freight Corridor DFC railway track. Satish Babu (22), residing in village Biharipur under Jaswantnagar police station in Etawah, 23-year-old Shailendra and 16-year-old Ram Khiladi, who came to the maternal uncle's house from Agra Nandgaon, went to the railway track while walking together at around eight in the morning.

Meanwhile, a goods train suddenly came on the down line between pole numbers 652-8 and 652-10 of DFC and all three got hit. In the accident, Satish and Shailendra died on the spot, while Ram Khiladi was seriously injured.
