Boat Capsizes In Banda, Three Dead, 17 Missing

Banda, August 11 (TNA) In a big tragedy a boat carrying 35 persons on board capsized in the Yamuna river in Banda district of Uttar Pradesh on Thursday. Three persons have been confirmed dead and 17 people are still missing. Others have been saved and brought to safety.

Senior police and district officials rushed to the scene of the incident as soon as the news of the incident spread and oversaw the relief and rescue operations. Divers were immediately pressed into service.
