Body Of Tiger Found Floating In Ghaghra River Of UP

Bahraich, Oct 10 (TNA) Body of a tiger was find floating in the Ghaghra river on Saturday evening from down stream near Girja Barrage located in Sadar Range of Katarniaghat Wildlife Division, a forest official said on Sunday.

Villagers informed the police and forest department officials about this. As soon as the information was received, foresters including the ranger of Katarniaghat Ramkumar, DFO Akashdeep Badhawan, Dabir Hassan, Senior Project Director, World Nature Fund India reached the spot where the tiger body was found.

The DFO informed that it is the body of a four-year-old male tiger and is believed to be from either Katarniaghat forest or of Lakhimpur or Nepal. Post-mortem is to be conducted today.
