Chain, Anklets Of Old Women Robbed During Morning Walk In Lucknow's Kakori, Miscreants Break Her Leg Too

Lucknow, August 8 (TNA) Two miscreants robbed an old lady who was on her morning walk, of her gold chain and anklets. The robbers threw red chilli powder in her eyes and then after robbing her escaped.

The victim Shiv Rani was also assaulted as she tried to raise an alarm. She has sustained a fracture in her right leg.

Shiv Rani had come to her nephew, Sunil Yadav, a resident of Kathigara village near the overbridge of Agra Expressway, for a few days and was on her morning walk when the incident happened.

At around six in the morning, she had got for her routine morning walk on the service lane of the expressway when the crime was committed.

Two miscreants on a bike came near the temple and threw chilli powder in their eyes. She fell there and started shouted as the criminals snatched the gold chain from around her neck.

When Shiv Rani protested as they tried to take off her anklets, the miscreants beat her and fled.

Kakori Inspector Brijesh Singh however told news persons that he was not aware of any such incident as no complaint had been filed as yet.
