Lucknow, January 20 (TNA) In an interesting turn of events on Thursday, the Bhim Army chief Chandrashekhar Azad aka Ravan was fielded against UP chief minister Yogi Adityanath from Gorakhpur Sadar constituency. Announcing this, it was said that this was being done in line with the principles and ideals of the Dalit icons like Aambedkar and Kanshi Ram.

He will be the candidate of the Azad Samaj Party (ASP). Yogi Adityanath is running for MLA for the first time. The alliance talks between ASP and Samajwadi Party collapsed last week and Azad claimed that Akhilesh Yadav did not want the support of Dalits. He also accused the former chief minister of humiliating him.
