Complaint Filed Against Javed Akhtar In Lucknow For Comparing RSS To Taliban

Lucknow, Sep 11 (TNA) A complaint has been filed against Bollywood lyricist Javed Akhtar for his alleged statement comparing the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) to the Taliban. Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) Ravi Kumar Gupta has fixed September 16 for hearing on the maintainability of the application of the case filed against the celebrated Bollywood lyricist.

This application has been filed by local advocate Pramod Pandey in CJM Court Lucknow. The plaintiff says that the RSS is a patriotic organization. The plaintiff himself is also its member. Comparing this organization to the Taliban comes under the category of crime because Taliban is synonymous with terrorism.
