COVID Jolts UP Media, Three Senior Journalists Pass Away On Monday

Lucknow, May 10 (TNA) The journalistic fraternity in Uttar Pradesh was on Monday jolted by the deaths of three senior journalists. Kaushal Kishore, president of the Uttar Pradesh Shramjeevi Patrakar Union passed away at the RML medical institute after an unsuccessful battle with Coronavirus.

Another blow came in as editor of the Urdu daily 'Avadhnama' Waqar Rizvi died of COVID too. He was a big name in the Urdu world and was known for his free and fair reportage.

And the third bad news came from Meerut where Arvind Shukla, a journalist working with Hindi daily Hindustan passed away due to the deadly virus.

He was admitted at the Subharati hospital. Many senior and young journalists have been claimed by the deadly second wave, plunging the media world into unexplainable sorrow.

Speaker of the UP assembly, Hriday Narayan Dixit has mourned the demise of Kaushal Kishore and Waqar Rizvi, terming it as a huge loss to journalism.
