CRPF Jawan On Election Duty in Chandauli Shoots Self Dead

Lucknow, March 5 (TNA) A CRPF jawan, who was on election duty in Chandauli district of UP, shot himself with his service rifle on duty. He died on the spot. The police of Chakia Kotwali, who reached the spot, took the body in possession and sent it to the district hospital for post-mortem.

The deceased belonged to the Alpha 08 Orissa Battalion of CRPF and was staying at SRBS School located in Shikarganj, Chakia Kotwali. He has been identified as 38-year-old Vipin Das of Coonoor district of Kerala.
