DCF Secretary Arrested Accepting Bribe In Prayagraj
Prayagraj, November 8 (TNA) The Vigilance department has arrested District Cooperative Federation Limited Secretary Krishna Chandra Tripathi red-handed while accepting a bribe of Rs 20,000. The accused is a resident of Delhipur Pratapgarh. A case has been registered against him under the Prevention of Corruption Act and he will be produced in the Anti-Corruption Court in Varanasi on Wednesday.
It has been told that Alok Kumar, resident of Etmadpur alias Mishrapur of Phulpur, operates a DCF fertilizer sales center in Silokhara. Alok Kumar had contacted Krishna Chandra Tripathi, Digital/Incharge Secretary of the District Cooperative Federation, for renewal of the license of the sales center.
Then the secretary told Alok that if he gave 20 thousand rupees, he would forward his file and get the license renewed. If the money is not received then the license will be canceled and allotted to someone else. Troubled by this, Alok complained to Vigilance.When Vigilance conducted a confidential investigation, the allegations were found to be true. After this, a plan was made to trap and then on Tuesday afternoon, Secretary Krishna Chandra was arrested red-handed while taking bribe from the office of Cooperative Federation in Georgetown. This action created panic among the employees of the Federation.
After the arrest of the Secretary of the District Cooperative Federation (DCF) in the bribery case, he will now also be suspended. The DCF Board will take suspension action against him. DCF Chairman Ajay Kumar Pandey said that a decision on this will be taken on Wednesday.
