Dearness Allowance Of 16,000 UP Roadways Employees of UP Roadways Hiked By 11%

Lucknow, March 16 (TNA) 16000 employees and officers of UP Transport Corporation will get 11% increased allowance. This decision has been taken in the meeting of the “Empowered Committee” constituted under the chairmanship of the Principal Secretary, Public Enterprises Department on payment of 11% dearness allowance pending in the government. Now 28% dearness allowance will be paid to the Transport Corporation employees.

Till now they were being paid 17% dearness allowance. Transport Corporation employees will still get 10% less DA than state employees, as state employees are currently getting 38% DA.

Giving this information, General Secretary of UP Roadways Employees Joint Council, Girish Chandra Mishra said that this 11% dearness allowance was due from July 2021, but according to the information received, it has been approved from January 2023.

According to Girish Chandra Mishra, the remaining 10% dearness allowance has been approved by the corporation's board of directors and sent on March 9, on which approval for payment is still awaited. With the increase of this 11% dearness allowance, the salary of the employees will increase from ₹ 2500 to ₹ 8000 per month.
