Delegation Of Allahabad High Court Bar Association Meets Union Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal
Prayagraj, August 12 (TNA) Office bearers members of the Bar Executive, led by the Senior Vice President of Allahabad High Court Bar Association met Union Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal in New Delhi. On July 16, 2024, the Minister had invited the Bar to discuss the problems in the historic library hall of the Bar Association. Accordingly, on August 9, 2024, the officials of Allahabad High Court Bar Association were welcomed at the residence of the Law Minister in Delhi.
Principal Secretary Justice Raj Kumar Goyal was also present on this occasion. A memorandum was given by the officials regarding the problems of the advocates, in which mainly a request was made to keep social harmony in mind while recruiting and appointing the vacant posts of judges. Advocates of Allahabad High Court and Lucknow Bench should be appointed as judges. Along with this, the issues of Advocate Protection Act, medical insurance for the health of advocates, construction of a state-of-the-art library in the High Court Bar were discussed. There were also discussions about constructing an advocate colony and providing it on the basis of no profit no loss and many other topics. The minister assured to take appropriate steps.
Senior Vice President Rajesh Khare, Vice President Neeraj Tripathi, Neelam Shukla, Joint Secretary Administration Sumit Kumar Srivastava, Joint Secretary Press Puneet Kumar Shukla, Joint Secretary Women Anchal Ojha, Treasurer Ranvijay Singh, Member Governing Council Udisha Tripathi, Kiran Singh, Manisha Singh, Abhishek Mishra Abhishek Tiwari, Sachchidanand Yadav, Dinesh Yadav, Rajesh Shukla, Sarveshwar Lal Srivastava, Ved Prakash Ojha, Baldev Shukla, Brijesh Kumar Singh Singer etc. had gone to Delhi. The President and the General Secretary had refused to go at the last moment due to lack of a formal invitation.
