Lucknow, April 9 (TNA) In order to enrich the women groups formed under the National Urban Livelihood Mission (NULM), 'Didi Canteen' will be opened in government offices besides all municipal bodies. These will also be operated by women groups and the income generated from this will promote the economic activities of the groups.

Along with this, action will be taken on the same basis after studying the innovative experiments done in states like Uttarakhand, Chhattisgarh, Kerala and Tamil Nadu to make women groups self-reliant. For this, soon a team of officers will be constituted and sent to these states.

Principal Secretary Urban Development Amrit Abhijat gave these instructions while reviewing the projects of the department at SUDA headquarters on Saturday. He said that 100 days challenge would be started soon to accelerate the plans. Under this, all the approved houses will be completed under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban).

The districts performing better in this challenge will also be rewarded. While reviewing the PM Swanidhi Yojana, the Principal Secretary has instructed all the project officers to take ten selfies with the street vendors along with their handcarts for three consecutive days and send them to the headquarters.
