Dreaded Dacoit Gauri Yadav Killed In Encounter With UP STF

Lucknow, October 30 (TNA) In a big success for the Special Task Force (STF) of the UP Police, a dreaded dacoit Gauri Yadav was killed at their hands in Chitrakoot. According to information available, the police encounter took place in the wee hours of Saturday after which Yadav, who carried a cash reward of Rs five lakhs from the UP Police and 50,000 from the neighbouring Madhya Pradesh Police, was killed.

One AK-47, an old model Klashnikov semi-automatic rifle and one twelve bore gun (All factory made) and two country-made weapons along with hundreds of live and spent ammunition have been recovered from the encounter site.

The encounter took place near Madha bund, falling under police station Bahilpurwa. The operation was led ADG STF Amitabh Yash.
