Dutch Ambassador Meets Yogi, Offers Help In Modern Technology Use In Dairy
Lucknow, August 31 (TNA) The Ambassador of the Netherlands to India, Marten van den Berg paid a courtesy call on the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath at his official residence in the state capital on Tuesday.
During the meeting, discussions were held to further strengthen the relations between the Netherlands and India, especially Uttar Pradesh.
The Chief Minister said that India and the Netherlands have strong relations and that the two sides are working together in many areas. Under this, along with promoting renewable energy in the state, work is also being done in the areas of solid waste management and water management.
He further pointed out that use of modern technology in food processing as well as floriculture and dairy industry would prove helpful in doubling the income of the farmers.
The Chief Minister said that Uttar Pradesh is a state with immense potential. To encourage investment, he underlined, the state government has implemented attractive policies and a positive environment has been established in the state to attract investment from abroad. Uttar Pradesh ranks second in the country in the 'Ease of Doing Business' ranking.
The ambassador mentioned his last visit to the state in the year 2019. He appreciated the Uttar Pradesh government for the rapid development of the state during this period. Getting the second position in the 'Ease of Doing Business' ranking by the state he stated, was result of continuous efforts made by the state.
The visiting diplomat also said that the Netherlands is willing to extend cooperation to the state in the dairy sector. He said that a training center can be set up in the state by the Netherlands to make the farmers proficient in modern dairy technology.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister apprised the ambassador about the 'One District, One Product Scheme' run by the state government and presented him the pink Meenakari products of Varanasi. Interestingly, the listing dignitary was wearing a saffron waist coat and a matching mask, that gelled so well with the attire of the monk-turned-chief minister Yogi Adityanath.
