ED Sends Notice For Questioning To Shivpal Yadav, Two Former UP Top Bureaucrats : Reports

Lucknow, Dec 7 (TNA) In a move that could set the political landscape of Uttar Pradesh, the most politically crucial state of the country, abuzz, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has sent a notice for questioning to UP’s political heavyweight Shivpal Singh Yadav with regards to the Gomti river front case.

The Pragatisheel Samajwadi Party (PSP) chief who is also the younger brother of Mulayam Singh Yadav and uncle of Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav, has been summoned along with 16 others, which also includes key officials of the state government and retired bureaucrats.

According to information, the list of people who have been summoned for questioning by the ED include former chief secretary Alok Ranjan and the then principal secretary (Irrigation) Deepak Singhal who went on to later become chief secretary of UP as well and is know for his proximity to Shivpal.
